Zach Thomas was one of many riders to show up at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit towards on the last weekend of September for the inaugural Invite presented by Dunlop. He registered his Suzuki in the Superbike Twins Expert class as well as the Twins Shoot-Out category, providing himself with plenty of track time throughout the three day weekend of motorcycle racing action. Thomas showed solid speed during the practice sessions held on Friday and continued to show improvement, as he came away with an impressive 2nd place finish in the first of four Superbike Twins Expert races. In the second race, he was able to maintain a spot on the podium by finishing 3rd, but it was next race where he really stepped things up, dropping his best lap time down to a 1:22.04 on his way to another 2nd place result, under ten seconds behind the race winner. Thomas continued to demonstrate exceptional consistency in the fourth and final race of the Superbike Twins Expert class. The Suzuki rider managed to keep that same energy in the more demanding ten-lap Twins Shoot-Out races as he remained smooth and consistent throughout, securing another 2nd place finish in the first race. In the second race, Thomas dropped back into the 1:22’s and beat his overall race time from the first one, continuing to improve with each and every outing on track throughout the entire weekend.
