Josiah Burleson

Josiah Burleson was in attendance at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit for the first annual running of The Invite presented by Dunlop with only one thing on his mind: taking home the top spot in The Grom | Z 125 World Championship. The thirteen-year-old was there with his older brother and father as the three of them went out for a family weekend of racing and although he was there helping them out, he had some winning to do of his own. The rider out of Arkansas set the fastest lap times in the first practice session as the Groms hit the track for the first time and he continued to hold a slight speed advantage going into the first race. Burleson managed to set the fastest lap and pulled a slight gap with each and every circulation of the 1.8-mile configuration, eventually winning by a margin of nearly seven seconds at the checkered flag. Burleson pulled another magnificent start in the second race and separated himself from the competition rather quickly, allowing him to get into his rhythm and control the pace of the race from the front. He took the checkered flag on the final lap and hoisted his arms into the air to celebrate the victory, taking home the number one overall spot in the Grom | Z 125 World Championship.
