Greg Venverloh made the trip from his home state of Missouri and traveled across the midwest on his way to Jennings, Oklahoma for the first running of The Invite presented by Dunlop at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. Venverloh’s weapon of choice for the weekend of racing was a Kawasaki Ninja 600 and he signed up to compete in both the 600 Shoot-Out as well as the Superbike 600 Expert category. The Missourian put himself just outside of the top five on the grid in the 600 Shoot-Out class and ended up fitting into 6th position from the very early stages of the race until the end, holding down the position from the green flag to the checkered. Venverloh had a comfortable gap both in front and behind him at the finish line with nearly twenty seconds to spare on each side. In the second Shoot-Out race, Venverloh managed to improve his lap times by nearly two seconds and finished in 5th position with just over five seconds to the rider ahead of him, showing improvement from Saturday to Sunday. The 600 Superbike Expert class operated under a four-race format which left the competitors with plenty of track time and Venverloh went out to finish 8th in the opening race. From that point forward, he continued to improve with a pair of 7th place finishes and a 5th place result in the fourth and final race in order to end the weekend on a high note.
