Bobby Davies was one of a bunch of riders to show up at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit for the inaugural running of The Invite presented by Dunlop in Jennings, Oklahoma. He registered to compete in both the 1000 Superbike Shoot-Out as well as the 1000 Expert Superbike class aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1, looking quite comfortable on track from the very first sessions of the weekend on Friday. In the first 1000 Expert Superbike race, Davies managed to set a lap time only a couple of tenths slower than the eventual race winner, Dustin Dominguez, as he crossed the finish line in 2nd position only one second down on the lead. He wasn’t able to improve his best lap time in the second race and he encountered some unfortunate circumstances that forced him to post a DNF in the third race after only circulating one lap. In the fourth and final race of the 1000 Expert Superbike class, Davies set his fastest time of the weekend and fought back to a 2nd place result, finishing six seconds behind Dominguez at the end of the six lap sprint. In the ten lap 1000 Shoot-Out races, Davies captured two 2nd place finishes and easily wrapped up 2nd place overall with consistent laps and solid speed on his side.
