Alex Cornfield was one of the many riders in attendance for the first annual Invite presented by Dunlop at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Jennings, Oklahoma. The twenty-nine year old competed aboard his Honda CBR600RR in both the 600 Shoot-Out classification as well as the 600 Amateur division, providing him with plenty of track time throughout the weekend. Cornfield started off strong in the 600 Amateur class, finishing 4th in his class and 12th overall in the race, beating one of the Expert class riders. In the second race, the Honda rider improved his lap time and maintained a similar performance to the first race, keeping it consistent on his way to another 4th place result. In the third and fourth race, Cornfield managed to finish ahead of an Expert rider on both occasions and claim two more 4th place results in the Amateur class, placing him in 4th overall. In the first 600 Shoot-Out race, the Honda rider didn’t make it more than two laps and had to call it a race, but he managed to rebound in the second race with his best performance of the weekend. Cornfield set his best lap times and managed to record a 1:24.01 on his way to an impressive 6th place finish with a comfortable margin to the rider behind him in 7th.
